GoWhen.site — Know When to Go
Data Integrity

Editorial & Climatological Policy

At GoWhen.site, travel timing recommendations are treated with meteorological rigor. We never synthesize random numbers, fabricate festival dates, or deploy generic AI filler.

1. 30-Year Climatological Baseline Standard

All monthly averages for high/low temperatures, precipitation millimeters, rainy day counts, and daily sunshine duration originate from standardized 30-year climatological normal periods (1991–2020) provided by official agencies (e.g., NOAA, MeteoSwiss, Japan Meteorological Agency, IMD, BMKG) and the Copernicus ERA5 reanalysis archive.

2. Zero-Hallucination Mandate

Our systems strictly prohibit artificial intelligence from fabricating meteorological statistics. If historical data for a specific metric is incomplete, the interface explicitly notes “Data not verified” rather than guessing.

3. Event & Festival Verification

Annual events and festivals are explicitly classified into two transparent categories:
Confirmed Dates: Sourced directly from official national tourism authorities or organizing committees with active URLs.
Typical Season: Estimated historical recurrence based on seasonal traditions and lunar patterns.
